Fished the Ponquogue Bridge this morning out of the kayak - yes, 20-35 mph winds, but October was just the worst October in years. Tons of bass feeding with abandon and in an hour took 13 with 2 keepers to 33". Nothing like the hood of your rain jacket beating the ---- out of your face in 30 mph winds while trying to land fish in a kayak!!!!

Surf is so beat up here in Shinnecock that I'm hoping these fish will stay in the bay for a couple of days before moving on. They do have plenty to eat...

Flyrod only. All fish, including the 33" took a red/white calf tail deceiver about 3" long. I tie it like a normal deceiver except that I tie in red calf tail on the collar which gives it the appearance of a small red and white bomber. Has always worked at the bridge.
