My kind of fishing left the dock about 8:45 AM 1st fish in the boat about 30 minutes later found big blues west of Breeze Point. Moved south east of the jetty found birds working over Bass mixed size maybe 20 pound the largest bite lasted about 1 hour. After the bite died ran east & found more blues & call it a day around noon arm weary. ( Anything white caught fish. Flys & bucktail & jigs work equally as well --127-3-

Launched at Highlands at 10:00am, N wind 20+. Shot over to Coney on a bumpy wet ride. Better wind blockage, found blues blitzing everywhere, checked out Breezy, nothing. Went back to SH bay and found stripers 3:00 til dark blitzing just like last year. Not the best forecast to fish but, got to get my new boat out (23 seacraft), and supprisingly caught lotsa fish.

JRZfly, did you sell the Maritime? Is the Seacraft new or a classic? I am looking at a refurb 20' classic now...

Very nice looking ride...Enjoying it so far? How long is your tow up from medford lakes to Atlantic Highlands? Maybe I will bump into you at the ramp this fall. I run a 18' parker with a 130 Yamaha. Due to fuel line problems and work commitments I haven't fished once all year yet...

bass yesterday from Coney to Breezy - scattered fish, not bunched up. Caught two dozen to 25 pounds on small shads. I have to get my fly rod rigged properly - a friend is going to help me out. I can't wait to chase these fish with the fly.

Jryfly -- Nice Boat!!! Good reports guys, fished Sunday & Monday North of Coney. Had TONS of schoolies all over the place. Monday was much better fishing due to lighter winds. Nothing bigger than 26" on Monday, so I headed towards Breezy Point, must have got there late, bite dying down. Ran all along towards Tilden ZILCH not a bird working! Ran back up north and left the schoolies biting till dark! Had a friend with me, that I haven't seen nor fished with since childhood. He was totally blown away by the fishing in NY Harbor, he wouldn't even put his rod down while eating his lunch:-%!!!!

Breezy was still hot Sunday. I had two guys on board & we had 30 bass & 15 bluefish on poppers & jigs. Nothing large, but four over 30 inches.
