Got out to my favorite drop off in Shinnecock Thursday night. Great fishing for about an hour and a half in the darkness - took 11 fish, 3 were keepers one going to 35". All caught on an 8" eel pattern and I left with a kink in my back. Two of the keepers took about 50' of Dacron and then just settled in refusing to move and tough to land in the current.
In other news, I'm getting tired of watching poachers in another part of Shinnecock. Went to DEC's website - anyone know which officer would cover the South Fork? And how hard would it be to get them somewhere in the middle of the night? Any tips would be appreciated.
