I am still looking for smelt. Has anyone seen any?

There has been a few smelt up in Cape Anne. I saw one of the regulars down at Beverly pier with 4 the other day. Also saw another guy in gloucester with a few. Both had fished most of the night. Couple more weeks and they'll be in.

I always found the best bait to be grass shrimp

I have caught them all the ways mentiond + worms, sweadish pimples, cut bait, earth worms. The question is what are they good for? EATING. Cook them any way you want to Fry, deep fry, roast, bake them, broil them,--124-3--124-3 pickle them
