Arrived to Goldsmith's easily two hours after daybreak today and found gannets, gulls, peanut bunker and brutish bluefish. Chased them to Horton's in the kayak and if you don't know how far this is, trust me it's too far to go in a kayak. But, paddling is a lot easier when you can stop and throw a boilermaker at 10-14 lb blues every once in a while - no kidding, there were no cocktails to be found here today. :brow Finally caught up with the main school at Horton's and the sights were amazing. At one point as I'm hooked up, I catch this ring shape out of the corner of my eye down below the kayak. It seems alive so I'm watching as it gets closer - I've never seen this in my life and I probably never will again. Daisy chaining bluefish and in the center a couple of very unluck peanut bunker. They finally make it to the surface and needless to say, no more bunker. Aside from paddling around an ocean sunfish off Shag, easily one of the coolest things I've seen. --125-3
Would have loved to chase these fish for the day...
