We hear great things about Chez Pierre in terms of accomodations and cuisine. ALso heard some good things about who I guess is their main guide contact, Loxley Cartwright.
Anyone out there with experience fishing with him?
Also, anyone with much experience DIY bonefishing around that part of Long Island?
Thanks for the help!!

My wife and daughter stayed with friends at a cabin just past there last june. They had Loxly for a day of bonefishing and snorkling. My wife was desperate to catch a bonefish but no luck. She had some looks and a touch but no hookups. The others were not fisherpersons so most of the time was spent doing other things. The wife said the fishing right in front is good and she went out a few times by herself but no luck. She did say there were quite a few sharks in the area.
We are talking about going down in March for the sole purpose of bonefishing.

We stayed there the last 2 years at christmas. Very enjoyable place. The rooms are peaceful and the food is great. I found the bonefish to be very sporatic in front of the lodge. Loxley will take you south to much better places with great numbers of fish. If you rent a car, we fish with Eagle Eyes to the north. Lots of 20 fish days and bigger bonefish. The DIY is tough, but we have never been there in the spring.
