North Fork - blitz mania!!

Got out in the kayak again this weekend and East Marion was lit up! :) Multiple schools (at one point stretching from Rocky Point past Mulfords) were hard to keep up with. I haven't been around this many fish in a while and the hardest part was deciding which school I had the best chance of chasing and catching. Caught big blues again in open water and did find some bass, no keepers, right in tight to the beach a couple times. I can't imagine the season coming to an end soon, but I have to say, these fish were moving... fast. I was really hoping to see some blitzes last into December, but now I don't know.(#$119)

Great to hear there was some action in "my neighborhood". Unfortunately I could not get out there this weekend. Maybe Monday after Turkey day....--124-3

Any word on what was happening at the coffee pot?

Alas, I do not know what the coffee pot is. I'm headed upstate for Thanksgiving, but I would guess that area will stay busy through this weekend and beyond. I plan on giving it another shot the weekend after this one and as far into December as possible. Good luck Monday!

I assume you mean boat fishing when you mention the "coffeepot". It's been very windy so there haven't been many boats out the last few days. From the beach in the last 2 days it has been pretty quiet in the daytime. I fished at dusk today with the flyrod along with several others fishing spinning gear . Very quiet. But as stated above it was excellent fishing along the beaches for school bass and big blues last week.
