Surf
Surf fishermen are bringing in good catches of Pompano along with Whiting and Bluefish from Indialantic to Sebastian Inlet. Best bait for the Pompano are Sand Fleas, if you can buy or rake them just about anywhere in Florida. However, in this area, the locals prefer live sea clams.

Sebastian Inlet
The inlet continues to produce excellent catches of Redfish, Trout, Snook, Spanish and King Mackerel. The Flounder fishermen are accounting for some big flatties, up to 12 lbs. or more just about every day. Last week we
saw an influx of big Grouper with several topping 40 lbs.

Night fishermen continue to take above the slot-limit Snook and Redfish on surface lures. Plenty of snappers and Black Drum along the rip-rap with Pompano mixed in.

Indian River Lagoon
Fly and light tackle fishing for Redfish and Trout is heating up from the Bridge in Melbourne to the bridge in Sebastian.
With colder evenings, the fish are being taken from the sand patches just after dawn. Good sight casting opportunities.

Not much rain hereabouts this time of year but, the outlets of the western tributaries from EauGallee to Sebastian are producing nice catches when there is fresh runoff.

There should be excellent fishing for Snook along the canals and other structure till the season closes Dec. 15.
