New to the forum and looking for some info. Looks like the in-laws are taking the family for a vacatrion as a Christmas gift and they've chosen Riviera Maya at the Barcelo Maya Colonial Resort. Wondering if I can do any DIY flats fishing close to the resort or is absolutely necessary to get a guide for a day. Can you just walk into the water and fish in front of the resort? Do you need a license or like the US the ocean is free if fishing from shore? Thanks guy for any info. Also, if anyone has been to this resort please let me know what you though of the place.
Thanks,
Andy...
