I asked this question a few years ago .I'm going to be staying on the gulf in Hudson for the month of Feb. Anyone have recommendations for fishing the general area .Its a working vacation so i doubt that I will venture very far from where I'm staying/working. TIA

My parents had a house in Hudson/New port Richey area. As I recall you had to go offshore almost 20 miles to get to deep water. I only fished on visits there.... but we caught mackeral, kings, bonito etc.
Never had much luck inshore.

I was told that there are reds across the creek from me ,in the mangroves .Going to borrow a boat this week and ROW over and have a look

You should have redfish and trout in the passes and off the beaches and snook before the end of the month.
