Key West Tarpo Fishing

I was fortunate enough to get a call back from a very famous flats guide of Key West. He has a three day opening Feb 29-March 2. I went ahead and reserved it, but is that a good time for big tarpon? I thought it might be a little early, but I guess I have to take what I can at such short notice. What does everyone think?

yes it can be a very good time but as it is somewhat early ...you are weather governed by water temperature ...if he's as you say...then you best take it...besides the march merkin permit tourney is next so you might double up or tripple if temp is right for tarpon...I assume you are fly fishing...PM me as to who if you like...
