With a few hours of extra time before the big game today, I headed up to Arcadia, Fl. in search of some freshwater Florida Bass. They are just like schoolie stripers that jump really.... Easy to overlook when you live near the great fishing in the Gulf of Mexico and get spoiled with giant Tarpon and other great saltwater species. The fishing here in southwest florida for these LargeMouth Bass can be quite good. I have landed bass over 10 lbs. and had days with over 20 fish on the fly and light tackle rods...
