Don't do it. There are a lot better boats out there. Just find the thread of the guy whose hull blistered after a month or so and Angler would not honor the warranty. You would be nuts to buy a boat from a company like this..

They're good boats that a very resonable priced, they had gelcoat problems almost 4+ years ago, prior to moving into a new facility, since then they identified and corrected the problem. They represent a very good value.
My experince with the hull truth, is they bash any boat that isn't the most expensive, best in class bla bla bla. In this case, they are still bashing angler-half of these blow hards havenever been on an angler and the rest have no idea. The intelligent ones that do the most bashing are bored saleman from competitors-
Up your way is Merimac marine, off of 495 in mass x46? maybe- great people very good with service- family owned I think.
Like a lot of boats, worth checking out

I stand by my earlier comments...Here are more for you that I found.. If I find the original post of the hull blister saga I will send it to you as well. Once you read ir for yourself you will hopefully look in another direction....Hopefully.
I've got a 2000 Angler and apparently 7 years is the life expectancy on anything bolted to the hull. In the past couple of weeks, two of my 3 cleats have pulled through, as has one side of my bow rail.
They were initially put in using a wood (pointed) screws drilled straight into the cap on the top of that gunwales. It is all closed and there is no access underneath so there is no way to attach a nut and washer to make them hold.
I wrote this fast, so if confused PM me or reply back. You need to protect that core at ALL COSTS, specially on an Angler, as their hardware is applied the day the hull comes out of the freakin' mold, which means it ain't really cured yet on the 'inside' and thus with curing, use, and temperature changes, that deck hardware flexes with those GAWD AWFUL screws they used ... cause leaks and then water gets into the screw holes and rots the wood.
Rat ba$$tards ... selling their boats 'cheap' due to poor assembly methods ... I feel for you my man, but we can help you make the best of this ...
There is a thread in the archives here in which a a member found that the bow cleats on his Angler were attached with self-tapping screws. A company that would do that would sell Poplar to widows for firewood. (Or, to quote the late Mr. Brautigan, "would sell a rat's a..hole to a blindman for a wedding ring.")

Thanks for all your Input
I think a boat / Hull company only has its reputation. Even if the Co was going to honor a warranty You still have to drag the boat back to NC to have it repaired. Even if Angler fixed all of the MFG problems Their Reputation still sucks. Reputation is everything for Boats. Motors seem to get forgivness if they have a bad couple years. The risk of laying out Big$ for a boat and having the gel coat blister or the Transom break off or the stringers separate from the Hull are Major Catastrophic Events and then You have to Return the Boat to the Factory in NC on your own Dime and Hope they fix it???
If anyone Likes Angler Boats it sounds Like they got super Lucky the amount of Bad reviews and tales of big problems with these boats is unbelievable. I was just curious I have never even seen one up close and I think ill keep it that way.
FWIW I went with a Sea Hunt 186 with a 115 yamaha four stroke I really wanted t get an Etec but the industry is dominated by Yamaha and Mercury right now because they seem to own all the Boat MFG as well. I am not a big mercury Fan so Yamaha it is. Although that Verado looks awesome
3 years ago when I was looking for a walkabout i checked out a 22 WA angler. I thought the quality was not good so i passed. Hatch door hinges screwed on instead of bolted, stuff like that. Ended up going with a Seaswirl 2101. Hope there reputation is good, this boat has to last me a while....

Hi,
If you want any information on your boat, check out the owner's club at seastriper.com . There's a lot of information on the site, a few dealers monitor the site and answer questions, and the moderator even has a line into the factory and can help members get answers on problems they can't get their dealer to resolve. I think the 2101 is one of the more popular models. I've seen negative comments on these boats on this site and THT, but my experience has been very positive with my 1801. There are issues on the older boats with regard to fit and finish, but as for the hull (which has a 10 year factory warranty) and the ride, they're very solid.
