Lake Chauncey

Fished lake Chauncey this saturday....not crowds. Guess they were at a tournament over in Marlboro.
One of my better days at Chauncey. Several pickeral just under 20". one bass that was pushing 3# and a hornpout.

We need an ice clave sometime while there is still ice.

Normally I'd be up for it, but I've been working the past few weekends and may have to work a few more before winter is over. Still, let me know if you're heading out sometime and maybe I can sneak out for a few hours.

Little Chauncy is also worth a shot, although a high clearance vehicle is recommended. I managed to break a sway bar on my Outback trying to get in there this year (#$119).

At one time, didn't Lake Chauncey have a small resident population of walleyes?

I stopped by Little Chauncey and the flooded road was full of ducks since it was the only open water.
