If your not leaving the boat in the water for the season, then no paint is needed. Aluminum holds up well to salt water with just a quick rinse. As for painting the inside. Check at a marine store, they have a special deck paint that should fit the bill. Otherwise most rubber soled shoes/boats grip well.

Yup, just give it a quick rinse with a hose after each trip and you'll be fine. Is it a welded or riveted hull?

Yep. Good advice from Bob and Teflon. As long as you are trailering it and not leaving it in the water, no need to paint the bottom.

IF you do paint the bottom, you will need a special aluminum boat paint--- I used a product called epaint---

I used epaint too. Great stuff. Unfortunately, I learned my lesson the hard way- moored the boat from mid-July to September before bottom painting. The top speed went from 40mph to 25 mph. The variety of growth was amazing and something I would like to have experienced another way! The scraping and sanding required to prep for bottom paint that time is a painful memory.

I would put the glides on the bunks if you have them, because it keeps the hull from sitting on saltwater in the carpet.
I have seen hulls corrode from this but not if you use the glides.
