I am actually here to do a little research. I have been asked to participate in making available again a film that was shot back in 1974 with Jimmy Buffett called Tarpon. It is my understanding that this is a little bit of a cult film with some old copies still running around. It has cameo appearances of Tom McGuane, Jim Harrison and Richard Brautigan. Buffett did the musical score. I was intrigued about this project because I am a big Buffett fan and also a reader of most all of these guys. I am trying to assess if there is still some interest out there for the film. I have a lot of experience in fresh water fishing, but not much in the way of the saltwater. I figured testing the waters on a couple of forums might help get me a little education. Hoping someone might remember the film and offer an opinion. Thanx

Have'nt seen the film but I can tell you I would be interested. I know Jimmy's quite a fly fisherman....I think it would garner some serious interest.

I never saw the film, and I would definitely buy a copy.
