Anyone have any eastern MA trout reports? I was thinking of wetting a line this weekend. I assume that some bodies of water have been stocked but I haven't heard much.
Thanks.

Check out the Mass Wildlife web site. They have listed all of the waters that have been stocked so far. Good luck.

Most of the southeastern ponds have been stocked in the last couple of weeks. Check out the Mass wildlife website for the ponds that have been stocked.

The stocking list isn't always accurate. I fished a couple of locations in southeastern MA that were supposedly stocked and they obviously weren't. These are locations that only carry trout until the water warms up, and I know where the fish get stocked and where to look for them. Nobody home.....

I hit 61 yesterday and the memory is failing me fast, I sent a PM to Teflon by mistake because I thought he was looking for a place to fish and I know for a fact the truck was a a pond on Monday because my Son was there and I know children do not lie to their parents.
I will not spot burn even though the State has a web site dedicated to SPOT BURNING !
Anyway Teflon I did send a Pm to the correct person also. Did not want you to think I was being a wiseguy.
Teflon remember you told me I needed to tie a fly the was really big with big dumbbell eyes and I told you I had one but it hit me in the back of the head trying to cast it and I have never been the same since.
Well what I did not tell you was I call that fly "BIG YELLOW".

Teflon - How can you tell if a pond was stocked this time of year?
Man I've fished some ponds on the SE cape in May that were so dead you wouldn't have thought a fish had been put in for 20 years!

We fished last weekend in the usual spots on the outer Cape. It was typical stocked trout fishing, with several one after the other and then nothing for long stretches. Caught several nice browns with a couple 16" or so, as well as the smallest stocked rainbow that I have ever seen in a Cape pond.
On my way home last night, I saw a lot of people hammering Tack Factory in Scituate. I think they put out surveillance cameras on that place, because its packed whenever a truck comes.
