well i made the stupid mistake of waiting too long to make a spring appointment with our usual boat guy. i am in the falmouth area and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good mechanic. this will be my second season with my boat and wanted to get some things checked out before she goes back in the water.

also when she goes back in what do i have to do after winterization. is it just turn key. its a merc 115 outboard on the back.

I start mine up on the hose let it warm up for awhile, shut it off change lower unit oil, crankcase oil, and filter if it is a four stroke pull plugs and replace.
You might even want to do the waterpump.
I also grease all zerk fittings and steering.

I have had a Boston Whaler since 1986 when it was new and was my dad's. We have had it serviced by Ron Cribby and his crew of mechanics at Atlantic Boat Rental since we first bought it new.(He was formerly a dealer, now service and rental only) He and his guys do a great job getting her ready for the season. The take a great deal of pride in their work, and Ron has always been willing to come to us and service the engine in the water if possible. I would give them a call. Ron and his guys take a great deal of pride in doing quality work and they are very reasonable when it comes to cost. Their number is below. I hope it helps.
