I am new to the area and from what I have read the North River has plenty of types of fish with good production. I was thinking about heading down there tomorrow since it will be near 70 with light wind. Has anyone been their before? If so a few hints will be great. I am going there to fly fish, but will have my spinning gear just in case since I will be wadding. If anyone whats to meet up down there let me know as well. http://reel-time.com/forum/images/smilies/drink.gif

The North River is my stomping grounds - I can help with info from the Bridge St bridge on the Norwell/Marshfield line east to the ocean for stripers, but not too familiar with inland spots. You can walk through Norris Reservation in downtown Norwell and get to some good spots. Pete Belsan at Belsan B&T in Scituate might be a good reference.

Below the old Dam in Pembroke down to 139 is good stretch that has everything from trout to panfish to shad to stripers.

got there late in the date, but ended up with a few bluegills. Nothing to write home about, but it was nice to feel a pull on the end of the line. Now if those things where 10X bigger they would be some of the best sport fish around. I would like to head down there again and get a better day of fishing in.
