One word of caution on buying a used yak: Get it from someone you consider reliable and check it out well.

Too many stories of leaky yaks being sold to unsuspecting newbies. There are quite a few guys upgrading to hobies which has put quite a few good yaks on the market. You might also try NEKF.

I have a nice 12' BIC that is all rigged out for fly. A very nice stable boat in hi-vis yellow. I would still use this but got lucky enough to purchase a Hobie.

I had not really thought about selling it but realize that I don't use it enough to justify hanging it in my basement. My kids use it but only when we are on vacation.
