With the help of J&D Langden we launched early to fish the incoming tide. We poked about but saw no signs of breaking fish. Worked out way out into the main chain where Joey scored with a pencil popper. Fished the edges of the flooding flats where Joey scored again and eventual his dad pick up a fish on the fly. Once there was enough water we go on to the flats where we saw hundreds of cruising stripers. There was also plenty of sand eels given areas that rain bait appearance. The three of us tossed a variety of offerings but could only get a bunch of follows with not hook ups. Worked our way over to horseshoe shoal where I finally scored on a weighted pink sluggo. Ahh the joy of feeling a fish on the end of the line. It was an exhausting more but a nice one. Weather and site conditions were good to excellent.
