Anybody using Kodiak Silver Cadmium disc brakes? If so, how have they held up to the salt? I'm going to install brakes on the trailer soon. Stainless would be nice, but they're 3X the cost of s-cad.

3 seasons on mine and they have held up just fine. 1st 2 seasons the trailer got dunked every weekend. Last season the boat was in the water and the trailer sat all summer.

3 seasons on mine as well and no issues at all. I have disk brakes on both axels. I took a look at the pads the other day and I still have plenty.

Eddy,
A few days ago I installed Kodiak SS brakes on my 4 year old trailer. The old brakes were hitching up and the boat was trailering heavy. So I took the wheels off to investigate and found one caliper was dragging and the other sides pads were dry rotted and breaking apart. So I spent the money and made it happen. From now on I will make sure to try to rinse my wheels and brakes better.
