Hi. One of my tires is completely flat....to the point where the bead has separated from the rim. When I try to pump it up, air just rushes out through the gap. Any tricks for getting air to stay in there. I will try to pull her forward a bit to see if that helps.
Thanks.

Ratchet strap around the tire and a clean bead, should do the trick.
Do you have the weight off the tire (trailer jacked or wheel off tire)?

1. get the weight off the tire.
2. if no ratched strap, tire a rope around the perimeter of the tire, stick a big screwdriver in the rope and start turning the screwdriver in a circle to twist the rope and shorten it. Do this to shorten the rope enough to put enough pressure on the tire to bring the bead back against the rim.
3. Now add air. High pressure works much better than a little slow pump.

Take a can of starting fluid (this can't be good) spray in and around the bead and rim (quickly) and soak a small trail about 5 feet back (very qucikly) and then light
I saw this done several times for a Bobcat Tire on a job site Never would believe it but..... the machine was bcak and running in no time
I also think it could be nominated for a Jack A** award too
Come to think of it the guy who demonstrated this manuever didn't have any eyebrows;)

That rope trick around the tire should work. You may have to finagle the tire when inflating it but be patient it will work.

Thanks guys. I got lucky and just rolled her forward about a foot. I then applied the air and the tire held the air. I had a leaky valve - which is now replaced.
