Looking for a portable GPS for a Christmas present. I use a Lowrance H2Oc. No issues other than visibility in high light. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I have the Garmin 478 perfect for the boat preloaded with all the g2 info and goes right into the car with all of North America also loaded!
It does not get any better IMHO.

If you are not in a hurry and can wait until the spring Garmin is coming out with 2 new models. GPSMAP 620 and 640. They look to be around the same size as the Nuvi but hard to tell from the site. Both are touch screen units. The 640 looks pretty nice. Has the G2 charts preloaded and you can get XM weather if you choose.
