Thousands of Birds, Hundreds of Fishes & One Keeper. Enough said !
The weather & fish finally cooperated. We found Bass within minutes of leaving the dock.
First Stop was the Edge of Ambrose Channel Red side 35 -40 feet of water. ¾ mile SW of Norton’s Point. Boated the first bass all of 20 inches at 7:15 AM from there on it was as simple as get a line in the water.
After over an hour of non-stop action moved to Breeze Point hoping to find large fish but did not & action a Breeze was much slower so back to Ambrose Channel. The Fish once again cooperated & caught so many Bass my back hurt action finally slowed down around 2:00 PM
Biggest problem we had in the morning was keeping fly line from freezing to the deck & keeping your hands warm
Heard Reports & saw a couple of Charters take off to Sandy Hooks to chase but did-not have the tackle on board to deal with them if we were so lucky
All fish taken on a white clouser w/ an oversize eye but the bass would hit anything you threw.
Sea Conditions: Calm, Water Temp: 44 degrees, Water Clarity: Clear as Glass, Wind: Light Variable, Air Temps 29 -35 Degrees
