This is the guide that I used last summer when I went back home to Littleton. His name is Chuck Prather 303 979 3077. He was a good guide, lots of fun and not too pushy. http://www.flyfishingserviceinc.com

Eagle is right there. Lots of options if you want to drive Frying pan etc. Check out who the resort is pimping. Alpine River Outfitters which was Gorsuch seems to be pretty complete. I friend in the industry was pushing them hard. The good thing is that they don't gauge you as much in the winter. powder morning and afternoon wade. Nothing better

Gore Creek right in town fishes well for little fish.
As another poster suggested, the Eagle River is a great choice. It is pretty much in sight of I-70 all the way from CO-24 to the confluence with the Colorado River. Hop on US-6 and stop when you see a good spot to wade. there are pull-offs and parking areas all over the place.
If you fell like a little drive take I-70 to Glenwood Springs and head south on CO-82. Fish the Roaring Fork any where that looks good...careful...it ROARS.
The Frying Pan can be Found by heading east just after you pass Basalt on CO-82. This was my favorite water in all of CO.
A guide would be cool but we're talking Gold Medal water here...you can catch fish without one.
If you make it to the Fork or the Pan give Mike Shook @ Alpine Angling a call...and tell him Eddy's buddy Whitey sent you.

Vail in march.... As hardcore of a fisherman as i am.....Hit the slopes! Easily the best time of the year to be skiing there!
I've caugt a bunch of trout right in the river that flows thru the ski area.......literally right under some of the lifts and in and around the condos....fished all the way down stream to where it joins another larger river (the Eagle?)..........hit the Pan for a day also.......good times.

Second that on the Frying Pan and Roaring fork...I went unguided a few years back and slammed the heck out of them at the Frying Pan...think #20- #24 zebra midges and the like and you'll do fine....Also I think the Blue river is close to vail as well....Eagle is excellent this time of year

GoFish and the others know a lot more about the area than I do, but I can tell you that I went out to Keystone (just a little east of Vail, near Dillon) for a meeting in April a few years ago and chose to fish rather than ski. I did well on the Snake (small river in Keystone) and the Blue. I fished the Blue above Dillon and in the outlet of the lake below, not in the trophy-footballs-eating-shrimp-only section under the highway. Gorgeous fish, all took some work, very rewarding.
