I am trying to put together a super cheap DIY trip incorporating some time on long island. I found Tommy's Inn with rooms for 70 bucks a night. All I want is a clean room, no frills, I won't be dissapointed if I don't have satellite tv etc. Anybody know anything about this inn? Clarencetown seems like a good starting point for fishing with a rental car.

ps Any tips on Long Island DIY fishing? I've heard good things about the galloway area. Thank you, the help is much appreciated! -Loren Elliott

While I've not fished Long Island have fished others....nothing is constant on the out islands....clean is in the eye of the beholder...it's fish you are after worry not about palm roaches or citrus rats...does the water run and the toilet flush sometimes with salt water from the flats.

Wing it and pick one were it me I would pick one run by a Bahamian

Take a dozen or so albacore tuna cans...some line juice concentrate...no fresh stateside limes cannot get them in...some granola bars and you are set...for no boat from nassau no...forgot...couple of liters of bahamian generic rum white and dark...
