Cudjoe Key Questions?

Guys, I am going to stay for a week on Cudjoe Key this early June and am going to bring my kayak for a little bit of fishing, can anyone suggest how it might be being a diy. I do plan on booking a guide for 2 days, but would like to fish as much as I could.

Any suggestions? I dont have a problem driving to a spot and launching if that helps.

Just dont have the money for a skiff right now, but in the future that will be different.

Dude you probably won't be able to get as many shots as with a guide but whatever. There are tons of access points off the main road down there. Just put in, and find some hard bottom next to the major channels and stake it out. They will swim by, just be ready...

Yeah I am aware of the action when not fishing with a guide. I just dont have the funds to spend $600 a day for a guide when he cant guarantee me fish either, thats why they call it fishing. For me just getting a chance to throw at some bones or whatever would be awesome!
