Does anyone remember which lodge offered the 2 for one summer deal? I believe it was in Mexico. I'm looking for a cheap getaway this August. Are there any other decently priced (around $1500)lodges out there?

Manuel Chac has a fishing operation in Punta Allen that is well priced, all inclusive.
You might want to do a google search for him.

I could be wrong but I think it's El Pescador in Belize. Not sure what month it starts but it could be August and runs through December.

El Pescador does have a 2 for in August but the bones there are quite small. That is a good time for Tarpon and there should still be some permit around.

I know august is generally too hot for bahamian bones...should be even hotter in Mexico. I'd try another month for that.

Not sure other than the fact you want something around $1500 for two. Most places that offer 2 for 1 cost more than that no matter what, especially if you want a guide and food included.

I have been to Belize twice on a two for one at Turneffe Flats but that is usually in the fall time frame. My wife and I go in November but it is a lot more than the price you mentioned.

I always poke around on the web looking for ideas and the one I am thinking about now is on Turks & Caicos and a place called Harbour Club Villas and Marina.

It is a small place around $1600 week. It is a do it yourself place and I think you can do your own cooking or eat out. The fishing is right outside your door step, and the feedback on the reports seemed encouraging. The air fair when I checked seemed to be around $500 round trip for one.

Might be worth exploring.

if you're looking for a 2 for 1 at $1500 total, you're not going to find anything except maybe a DIY, and then it's not likely. the absolute best deal i've seen for bonefishing in belize (or any where else for that matter) is with belizeflyzone.com and that is $2000 per person special for 5 days of fishing at a decent lodge in ambergris keye..

Thanks for all of the replies. I forgot to mention that I'm looking for around $1500 per person. Belize is out since it is our honeymoon and I went there on my first honeymoon:brow.

Check out Greenwich Creek Lodge on Long Island in the Bahamas. The Knowles family has a fantastic bonefish operation and with great guides, food, location, short runs to flats, etc.
