Hello,
I will be visiting the Marco Island/Naples area the second week of April.
I'm from Portland, Oregon, and have never saltwater flyfished before, so this will be a new experience for me.
I'm looking for ideas on where to fish, and guides to use (also, guides not to use).
I will have a rental so I have some flexibility on where I can go.
I'm an average freshwater fisherman, which means I'm expecting to be humbled. I'd pick catching some fish, versus not catching a monster poon. (although after looking at some of the photos posted . . . )
I basically have one day to fish, but after reading some of the previous posts, maybe I should just move to Florida.
Thanks for your help, from the great Northwest.

I would hire a guide and go for snook and reds out of Everglades City.

Give Ned Small a call.

I believe that might be a area where the legendary Capt Bob LeMay might fish and he is right here on this forum..his reports are in the florida section, obviously...since you are flexible I would drive to where you could fish with him if need be...he has already forgotten more than most people will ever know about boating whatever you are looking for...thats my opinion
