If anyone finds a "Lower Forty" brooktrout fly box at the quinnie let me know. It slid in the water on some ice and I couldn't grab it before it went under the solid river ice. It was floating just under the edge taunting me and it kept popping out so I went in after it but I had to knock some ice into the river to get in the water and that ice pushed it under for good. --124-3 So if anyone finds it please send me a pm. It was loaded pretty good.
Such a bummer when that happens. I've taken to rigging a little keeper lanyard on my boxes for use when I'm going to be in frigid/icy conditions. You can drill a tiny hole in the corner and use 30# mono with a knot inside and a snap on the end.(Cliff Boxes does this).

I write my name and phone number on all my fly boxes
Those little return address labels would work too.

I write my email address on the things that I'd like to have returned .... it seems people have an easier time sending an email note vs writing a letter....

Bill, most of them were my own tie. I did however loose a few streamers and salmon river patterns I wanted to copy. Went back on Sunday and the river had risen a foot. A lot of the ice broke up but has now created ice jams all over. Box could be anywhere. Some pics from the weekend.
