Tomorrow marks the 4th anniversary of Peter's passing (Tuna). We're still thinking of you Peter!

It's Really Nice that you mentioned this! His spirit lives stronger when we take the time to remember him. I knew him well, fished with him a few times, and still have all the films he used to send to his fishing friends......many of whom are still on this site. Great Guy, he is missed in many many ways.

I got his Rock N Roll Fly Fishing videos too and might end up watching them this weekend.

Petrel- Thanks for the reminder. I think of him frequently when I fish around Montauk in the fall. I don't tend to think of him, or fishing, much this time of year. He is still sorely missed by those who knew him.

Rest in peace Peter. We still chase them every fall in your honor.
Hard to believe its been 4 years. Still miss him - I learned more about fly-fishing from Peter than I could have learned in a lifetime on my own.
I will be pulling out his videos tonight.
Thanks for the note.

His presence is definitely still felt by many on the water. Nice (classic) picture of Peter still on the site here (http://www.reel-time.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2&size=big&cat=views&limit=views).

I had moved my boat out of GFM in '95, was Peter there prior to that? I would have liked to known him.
Great shot AndyF. I don't know if you have the address of Peter's brother (I think he lives in Westport, CT), but it would be great if he saw this if he hasn't already.
PS- Not sure if Peter was at GFM in 95. I first met him in '98.

If anyone knows how to reach Peter's brother, shoot me a PM. Thanks, DVD. By coincidence, I moved to Westport myself this year.

This thread prompted me to haul out old VCR tapes that Peter made. The last one I found was from the '03 season. I suspect that's the last one he made, since, if I remember right, he fell ill in the fall of '04. I remember an earlier tape in which he sang a song w/ his guitar about chasing albies which drove him crazy. I actually wrote down the lyrics and saved it on my computer, but I can't find it now. And it appears my wife taped over Peter's stuff w/ some old winter Olympics stuff. Does anyone know the lyrics? Does anyone have a copy of the VCR tape in question?

it would be worth asking his brother if it would be okay to put his videos online. I'd be glad to host them, probably in chunks, although I think Vimeo might be a better choice long term.
I too remember the albie song...but not the lyrics.

I too miss him very much. He was the nicest guy I ever had to pleasure to meet while fishing. he was never pretentious or overbearing and always ready to share info. Sucks that the good ones always leave us to early. I have one of Peter's old vcr tapes and will try to convert it into digital form with my new video machine and forward it to Mark.
