I am replacing the 2" bronze through hull ducer on the boat, and having a b!tch of a time removing the old one. its between a gas tank, driveshaft and bulkead with plenty of 20 year old 5200 involved. no real way to get at it with channel locks or even a big wrench. Any ides?

My next step is to drill a hole through it cross-diameter to stick a big old screwdrive or other bar through it and rotate the unit itself--if i have to unscrew it against the nut all the way through, so be it. If that doesnt work i will probably just cut the trasducer down to 1" or so tall and get a big old socket on it. Any other ideas?

I'm probably going to take a crack at it today with this warm weather.
