I was doing some "window shopping" on ebay and saw this rig in Eastham. If I had the cash I would upgrade to something like this. I don't know the guy or the boat, but it looks like it could be a deal.

That is what negotiation is all about, and the condition of the hull and the accessories........

I am not in the market this year anyway. Just watching........;)

After fishing a 23 regularly for a few years i would NEVER buy one. Theyre sharp looking well built (regs are probably some if not the best out there) and awesome fishing platforms but the transom scares the hell out of me. You have about 6" of freeboard in the engine well to the top of the transom and maybe another 3" to deck level. The cutout is real wide too, at least 2/3 the beam. I've had water come up and over when there are two of us back there landing a fish. Obviously nothing happened but if the livewells are flooded you're taking your chances. Progressive and continuous flooding is impossible to stop.

Not meant to knock the auction or anyone who has one, but if you're in the market for a regulator save your money and find a nice 24...or even better yet a 26 (my dream boat if only it came with an inboard). Lots of boat have that design but for fishing offshore i'd never be comfortable.

Beautiful boat but ridiculously overpriced!!
