Thank you all for your info. I'll be in the night of the 5th in the Lake worth Del-Ray area. I'm looking for some fishing in that area for that weekend. I'm bringing a few rods down. From my reasearch My sage xi2 9wt. with an intermediate line will work well for the beaches and outlets in that area.
Are the beaches good now or should I be looking for the outlets like I do in New England for stripers and blues. Are the tides very important or is it more important to be out there before the sun rises and the boat traffic starts up? Flies? Leader? Should I use Tarpon type leaders with a mono bite gaurd and a loop knot to the fly to just cover myself for whatever beasties may lay out there!
I also just booked 3 nights four days at The OWB on Big pine key, which my girlfriend is extremely excited about, lucky me. I'm also looking forward to hitting the no name Pub, It seems famous in most keys fishing lore. Any and all help will be much appreciated. And who knows, if you get a chance to ski Park City UT or come in the summer to get away from the Florida Heat I'll take you out and supply gear for trout fishing in the area.
It's going to be nice to have a fly rod in my hand with sand under my feet instead of snow. Although yesterday we had many trout landed and the sun was out so it's not so bad!
Thanks again and cheers
