I'm going to a wedding in Jamaica mid May this year and was hoping to get some bonefishing in. I understand there is no oppurtunity in Jamaiaca (correct?) so where would be the closest/best site? I'm open to taking a day or two to fly to wherever I need to go.
I've never heard of anyone catching a bonefish on Jamaica. But it sounds like you already knew that.
I think the best bet would be to try and arrange a day flight to the Bahamas somewhere, and just hope for the best. A day trip can be a real shot in the dark since you have no assurances of weather, wind, and cloud conditions.
I'm told several of the vast river systems in Jamaica have some decent snook fishing. Maybe that might be a good Plan #2.:brow

I believe the Cayman Islands are not too far from Jamaica... if my memory still serves me...
Grand Cayman should give you a good shot.... though I believe Little Cayman has more fishing opportunity... look into the Caymans...may be a good alternative
You would have a shot at baby Tarpon and small Bonefish
Good luck...

I agree that Little Cayman is a better option from Jamaica than the Bahamas.
There's a pond on LC full of baby tarpon. Look up the Southern Cross Club and they can arrange guides for tarpon, bones, permit. There are permit on LC, saw them while snokeling but didn't see any on the flats when I was there last year.
