Boca reels have a machined brass pinion to a specially tuned drive gear, and have forged aluminum concave spools and solid one-piece stainless steel handles that screw in for positive seating.
The new 70 and 80-size reels have aluminum rotors and the exclusive Saltgard six-layer corrosion protection to keep them looking good. Bocas have either 5 or 7 polymer-stainless PT bearings. The 20-size reels hold approximately 140 yds of 6 lb. test, the 70-size around 310 yds of 17 lb. and the 80-size about 330 yds of 20 lb. line.
