I can't understand why it's so late this year? Years ago, most ponds here on the Cape would have been stocked at least twice by St Patty's day. I've been checking almost daily, and nobody's even fishing, let alone catching.

Bob, I just checked the site and it says trucks should be rolling the week of march 16 so I guess it's time to start checking. I will likely wait until a few are posted though because it's just warming up and I will have plenty of time this spring. Time to go rig the new yak and get my stuff together.--127-3-

I'd say if you hit one of the major Cape trout ponds tomorrow, there's a better than even chance you'll run into a stocking truck. But yeah, it's starting late this season. Less trips due to less budget $$?

Interesting thing is, I've also been driving into the Sandwich hatchery almost everyday, and the crew has been cutting and stacking wood for the past 2 weeks.
This wind really needs to drop though. It would have been tough casting a 12wt into the teeth of the wind today, let alone a 5wt.(#$119)
