1990 Fisher Aluminum...Sale Price Assistance

Tough without pic...16' Fisher Aluminum side console, 28 hp Evinrude SPL, electric start, also 1990, EZ Load trailer 2000. All excellent shape. Boat has bilge pump, live well, lots of storage, great Duxbury Bay fly fishing boat. Total package in excellent shape but have another boat in mind that Mrs. L really likes.

Any assistance with pricing my boat appreciated.

Tougher than a picture, will be this market! I myself would NOT want to be selling a boat today, that's for sure. I hope you're buying low, as you will surely be surprised at the lowball offers you will likely get. Sad, but true, it is a buyer's market.

PM your email addy and I'll send you mine for pictures. If I have the chance tonight, I'll try to get a valuation from BUCvalue. You can use NADA, but be prepared to add up to 40% as NADA is ridiculously low. You can also google "Boat US valuation" and call them and get a reasonable quote for the New England area that assumes an 'average equipped vessel', so they don't allow for electronics or fancy bimini tops, or other stuff.

Selling is tough. I spent a good 5 months to get rid of my old boat (granted it was over the fall/winter) and even with a new 4 stroke it was a pain to move. the lowball offers can be ridiculous but as long as you're reasonable in the asking price and hold out until you get a serious buyer who really wants the boat you can move it. i had to settle for less than i wanted and way less than i have in the boat, but its gone to a good home and the money is back in my pocket. at some point in the sale process you realize that the boat being sold is better than it not being sold, so i guess keep that in mind! I was more willing to let it go for a little less as i already had the new boat and wanted to free up the cash stuck there.

This is the time to get it out there for sale though.
