A friend of mine has been giving a great talk on taking some overlooked species on the fly. Specifically gar, bowfin, sheephead, pike (and musky) with a fly rod. It's a great talk and he is very passionate about the topic and ties some great patterns for each species.
He is interested in spreading the word outside of our little corner of VT and is willing to come speak to clubs in the New England area. No charge, just hopes to book a guided trip of two from the talk.
If you are a member of a club and are looking for a great topic for an upcoming meeting let me know and I will pass the contact info. along.
He will be on Vermont Public Television's Outdoor Journal next month doing a gar show.
