Another honeymoon related request. I know we'll have to keep our eyes on potential hurricanes but otherwise, how is the weather in August in northern Belize? My fiancee read that it is the rainy season and is imagining constant rain the whole time we are there. Does anyone have any experience there in the 2nd half of august? Thanks.

I'm guessing if you're out on Ambergis and away from the rain forest you are probably good...again, this is just a guess.

I fished a week in July out of Belize River Lodge and the weather ran the gammit, but we definitely got our share of pouring rain and even some serious lightning and thunder out on the flats. We had some sunny days too though. Have fun, you'll be there at a good time for big migratory tarpon. -Loren

I have been there in Oct/Nov. On low-wind days the temperature can be downright oppressive. Can't imagine what it woudl be like in August.

thanks for the responses. It'll be the honeymoon so we'll probably be doing more laying on the beach drinking frozen drinks than standing on a flat's boat every day, (although we'll try and get out at least once w/ a guide and probably poke around a few mornings/evenings on our own) so I think heat would be more bearable. Just wondering if a lot of rainy days are likely. Thanks
