For Sale: lower unit/engine

1999 Mercury 90hp, top unit is shot (too costly for me to fix), lower unit is fine. Selling the whole engine for $1200/BO.

Thanks for the offer...luckily, this is not my primary boat (nobody is allowed to touch my boat:brow). We live near the water so, long story short, we bought a used whaler for the kids/extended family to use to water ski. Like typical teenagers, they don't take care of things. They probably overloaded the boat, and basically beat up the engine - the mechanic said he can fix it but it will cost almost as much as a new engine. The lower unit is fine, so I just want to get rid of it. Willing to entertain any offer.
