Fly fish friendly shore locations upper hudson

Not looking for anyone's honey hole, but wondering if anyone has had success from shore with a fly rod on the upper hudson. I live just outside of albany and would be willing to share tips / techniques and fly selections that have been very effective for me mostly in the Mass. salt... the cape, MV, northshore etc... again not looking to post your best spots on the web, but looking for a little intel to help me on the upper hudson fly game.
