There's now a spot when you create a new Thread in which you can add tags. From wikipedia:
A tag is a non-hierarchical keyword or term assigned to a piece of information (such as an internet bookmark, digital image, or computer file). This kind of metadata helps describe an item and allows it to be found again by browsing or searching.
So basically, it's an informal category that will allow people to find and reuse the content in the forum easily. For example, a tag cloud can be created like this: http://www.reel-time.com/forum//tags.php which allows us to see the top topics on the forums.
By using tags, you'll be helping the site out. If your posting about Bluefin Tuna, then use that as a tag. I'll then be able to show the latest bluefin tuna posts on a page with articles and bluefin tuna news...which I think you're going to really like.
