couple of flies to start me out?

Wondering which flies i should buy to get me started for stripers and blues. In New York if this helps. Know where I can get such flies?

A good start would be Lefty's Deceivers and Clouser minnows. Not familiar with the city but the Urban Angler or Orvis should be able to help you.
