Fished today off central Jersey from 3:30 till my arm couldn't take anymore. Every fish was 20lb +, had fish on top and fish on bottom. Non stop and moving north, all fish had sea lice. Best day ever this early, for the fly that is, did not have to compete with the large bunker schools. Steady pick one after another. Sorry for the pics, was solo. Hah! and my buddy's bailed on me too.

Pretty sure it was Herring saw a dead one floating but there are reports of bunker from IBSP to Breezy. It was a choppy SE wind so sight was not so good to see bait fish when the bass came to surface every 15 minutes. Never marked so many fish for 2 hours shooting north on depth finder like this. Pretty much just drifted and twitched clouser or jigged a 10" Ron-Z. All big fish/breeders!

Went out today and they were gone. Marked huge bait pods on bottom, not even a blue fish but a couple dog fish. at one point there were dolphins all over the bait fish. and then we had a whale in 30' off water just south of the Barneget Inlet eating whatever we were marking??? Shot North from barnegat to Manasquan thinking maybe they moved but nodda. Still Marked tons of bait and birds working. Maybe the next wave will come threw with all this bait?????

If they were Humpbacks it was def herring. Any birds? Nice to get some fall style fishing this time of year. Still crazy amounts of blues up here.
