Yes I do try to support my local tackle business but living in Concord NH not a lot of choices nearby,anyway...
Wondering if anyone knows the "powers that be" at Dicks. Last year they annoyed me by having a big sale 25% off all clearance tackle. They had one double aisle with 4 signs announcing the sale and ONE item on sale in that aisle. Other aisles with 3 or 4 items for sale. People were loading up until I told them the real deal! Today after leaving some sluggos and a nice popper in Newburyport, Ma. Nice morning fishing by the way. I tried to use my rewards card with some replacement tackle and mentioned that I have never received anything from them about it. Since this was a replacement card for the same problem and lo and behold was told that it again "was not registered" to me that would explain it and I would have to call an 1-800 number again. The 20 something assistant manager said said "Gee, there is nothing we can do." I said how about you calling them and sorting it out since last time I had no luck but apparently that is not in his job description.
After punching a bunch of numbers on the phone. I spoke with a polite apologetic young lady named Rebecca. I told points expire within a year and they have no record of purchases after that. She did find some records somehow and "unexpired them." But no luck on 2-3 seasons of replacing and upgrading equipment and tackle.
What I would really like is a first class tackle shop within 25 miles of me. What I would settle for is an apology, my rewards and a discount on purchasing my new garmin data card , a saragosa reel and spin cast tuna rod and a new reel. I am in a retail business myself and I would like to know if this went on in my store especially if this went on with a customer that has spent a couple thousand dollars a year on fishing related equipment. If anyone knows people in this corporation please forward this to them. My rewards #327025989890. They can find me through that. Thanks
