I've been having issues with various CA glues/Zap a Gap products while tying crease flies. It seems the glues just don't hold up very well.

Seque to yesterday - I went to Concord Outfitters and explain my issue to the lovely young lady who workds there. She showed me this product I hadn't seen before...still made by the producers of Zap a Gap, called Zap-O Foam Safe CA. She said she swears by the stuff after experiencing similar issues as me while using other products. Anyone use this stuff yet? It costs a little more than regular Zap a Gap, at 14.00 for a bottle that's roughly twice the volume as those small Zap a Gap dispensers. But if it works, it would be well worth the investment.

As an aside, I should mention that the stuff that comes in the Joe Blados kit works great, but I can't find that brand anywhere.

Also, I saw a method on a youtube video where a guy substitued CA glue with a gluegun and it seemed to work out pretty well. But I haven't tried that method yet

Try Liquid Fusion. Its a clear urethane glue that dries clear and hard and requires no mixing. Ive been using it for poxy back flies and it works very well. Feathercraft has it, or if there are craft places like Joanns near you, they have it cheaper. about 6 bucks
