Bassbuster

No traffic to worry about getting bait yesterday morning. Only able to get a few live one's and quickly went to spot one. Weeds and water clarity were a problem. Although while retriving the first bait had a solid three footer turn away at the boatside. It was good to see as the winding was up as well. Bait got hammered as soon as he hit the water. A nice fat 40 incher came aboard. Just then I turned my head and saw what looked like a herring get hammered about two feet out of the water by a much bigger bass.
We didn't get anything much bigger and then used chunks which they hit regularly for the next hour and then they moved on. Decided to ji our way out to bug light and got another small keeper, I felt like I was at the race witht eh swells in bay.
Just as we were ready to call it a day aI saw I swarm of about 50 - 100 terns all alone w/top water bass. A fresh school entered full of lice 34 - 26 inches. They sporadically went after popper but crushed a new Spook my father in law made. They were fighting to get to the lure as I had a number of fowl hooked (tail, belly etc). It was non stop from 10:30 to when I left at 12:00. The snotty weather left us by ourselves to enjoy early season feed bag they had on yesterday.
