Finally pulled the trigger

After about 2 years of debating, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a yak --127-3-.

I got an Ocean Kayaks Prowler Trident Angler. It's the 15 footer. I can't wait to get it and get out on the water. I rented one last summer and it was great, didn't catch any fish but still it was a blast.

I will be in RI for the entire second week of July and should have it by then. Can't wait to get it rigged up and catch my first fish from the yak.

Make sure you have good safety equipment--PFD, a handheld radio, and a GPS.

Yeah, I have a 16 month old daughter, I'm not into taking chances anymore.

I picked up a PFD this morning and a paddle. I already have a GPS, I'm going to get a nice compass to mount on the yak too.

I already have an Eagle Cuda fishfinder that I bought this past winter and wired up to use on the ice a couple times. Now I'll just move it into the yak.

I'll evenutally want to add an anchor trolley but won't need that right away.

Now I have to find a milk crate or two that fell off a truck:brow
